Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course participants will:

  • Be able to identify various cues and scenarios that relate to sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace.
  • Recognize the mental, physical, and emotional effects of such behavior on a person or persons.
  • Gain insight into the need for establishing and adhering to office policies, that reflect state regulations regarding inappropriate behavior(s) in the workplace.
  • Utilize the proper steps for recording and reporting such inappropriate behaviors in the workplace.

Course Description:

This course provides insight into how to unify employers and employees to promote a non- toxic work environment.

Discussion will assist team members on how to identify physical, verbal, and visual cues and scenarios that relate to sexual harassment, bullying, discrimination and exclusion in the workplace and the affects it can have on individuals and team cohesiveness. 

This course in It is mandatory for employers and employees to adhere to State regulations and office policies in the workplace on how to recognize and report such situations in a timely manner.

About Your Instructor:

Cathie Collier, RDH, MS, received her bachelor’s degree in dental Hygiene Education from the Fones School at the University of Bridgeport, where she later served as DH Clinical Coordinator. Her recent accomplishment earned her a master’s degree in health and Healing.  Cathie is a national lecturer and frequently lectures on topics such as OSHA, HIPAA, Medical Emergencies and CPR.
