Course Objective:

Upon completion of the course participants will:

  • Recognize and response to early warning signs that could lead to potential emergencies.
  • Select and utilize proper medications and equipment that will assist with specific medical conditions.
  • Demonstrate effective technique for application of the AED, CPR and techniques required for obstructed airway situations.

Course Description:

This in- office training is conducted in accordance with guidelines from the AHA and is mandated for dental healthcare providers. The presentation prepares participants to understand the role of the first responder, and how to recognize and address early warning signs that if unattended could lead to life threatening situations. 

CPR for adults, children, and Infants:

This course prepares participants to recognize and respond to the signs and symptoms of heart attack, stroke and obstructed airway. The use and application of bag masks and the specific use for various AED’s. Discussion includes bloodborne pathogens and the use of barriers devices. 

Medical Emergencies:

This course provides recognition and response to treat syncope, shock, allergic reaction, seizures, and respiratory depression related to drug overdose. Included are the indications and administration of EpiPen and Narcan.

A Healthy Education is an ADA CCRP recognized provider.

Hands-on skill demonstrations/ Power Point/ AHA Course Materials. 

Fees and Services:

Onsite Training:

  • $450.00 for up to the first 5 participants. 
  • Additional fee of $80.00/participant.
  • This course must be done in-person.
  • 5 CE credits provided. 

Refund and Cancellation Policy:

Payment is due before or on the day of the course. Checks or credit cards are accepted. Offices must provide 24-hour notice if cancellation is necessary. If rescheduling is not an option or can’t be arranged within a reasonable time agreed upon by the office and A Healthy Education, a refund will be provided for offices that have paid in advance. Videos On Demand (VOD): No Refund.
