About Cathie
Cathie Collier holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene Education from the Fones School of Dental Hygiene, where she served as a clinical coordinator. She also holds a Master’s degree from The Graduate Institute in Integrative Health and Healing.
While serving as Supervisor of the Yale New Haven Hospital Dental Clinic, she pursued her interest in Infection Control and Medical Emergencies.
She has been teaching CPR, Medical Emergencies, Infection Control, and HIPAA for over 30 years and has expanded her services to include educating Dental Healthcare workers on how to prepare for returning to the workplace during the COVID – 19 pandemic.
With a Master’s in Integrative Health and Healing and recognizing the importance of the balance between body, mind, and spirit, Cathie provides presentations on Stress Management and Natural Relaxation therapies that contribute to both personal and professional growth. She has presented for numerous associations, study clubs, and companies, including The Connecticut State Dental Association, Henry Schein, HuFreidy, and Patterson Dental. She is an educator, key opinion leader, published author, and national lecturer.
Her presentations, which meet the approval for CE certification, encompass current ADA, ADHA, CDC, OSHA, and HIPAA Guidelines and Regulations.
She has assisted numerous dental facilities with developing policies, training, and compliance requirements.
A member of the Organization for Safety and Asepsis Procedures, she currently serves as a clinical instructor at Goodwin University. Cathie is also a CPR/ BLS instructor affiliated with the Emergency Care Institute at Bridgeport Hospital and is a core instructor for Professional Learning Services.
